INDIRE does not charge any fees for publications.
Any registered member (membership fee is optional) can submit an article with INDIRE conferences and journals at no charge.
All authors of an article must be registered members to ensure and maintain the quality for the peer-review process. We do offer formatting services.
All INDIRE conferences and journals are open-access.
In line with the Directory of Open Access Journal's (DOAJ) definition, INDIRE's open-access proceedings and journals imply that the copyright holder of an article (scholarly work) grants usage rights to others using the open license of 'creative commons' specified below. This means that articles are free to access permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.
The full text of all content is made available as soon as it is accepted for publication for free and open access (there is no embargo period and no requirement for users to register to read content).
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
Submissions in all ENDIRE journals and conferences (whether new or revised) are made online after you sign in and from your dashboard. The system will guide you through the submission process. There are two parts to the submission:
The submission of any type of article follows the same process. Once you have completed your submission, the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) will respond to the corresponding author within three days, as to the result of the desk evaluation. If the outcome is a 'desk reject' an explanation is provided (one possible reason as an example is that the article subject matter is not suitable to the journal). No further processing will follow.
If the article has passed desk review, then it will be sent (anonymously) to the review process where an appropriate review team (Associate Editor, AE, and 2 or more reviewers - double-blind) will be assigned to your article. Within 6 weeks, the AE will respond to you with the feedback/comments/suggestions of the reviewers and a final decision for your article. Should the outcome at this point be acceptance, another cycle with revision may be required. This peer review process can have multiple iterations. Our goal is to publish high quality articles.
During the review process, we aim to provide you with feedback and suggestions to help you develop and enhance your article and make it attractive to the global digital innovation community.
Note that double-blind review means that the authors will not know who is reviewing their article, and the reviewers will not know who are the authors. INDIRE will never release this information. Also, note that all dates in the review process are typical and may vary according to the article characteristics, such as length, complexity of the subject matter, and available reviewers with same expertize.
The spirit of your submission should be respectful in all respects, and should consider the following:
Consider the order of the list of authors on your article and agree on the order before you submit your article. Any additions, deletions, or rearrangement of order of author names should be made before your article has been accepted and is subject to the approval of the editor in chief.
If any change to the authors list is necessary, the corresponding author must send an email to the Editor in Chief explaining the following:
(This includes journals, conferences, and all other publications)
Note: Manuscript, paper, and article are used interchangeably.
Our policy on the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies is part of our continuous oversight and improvement towards increasing transparency by guiding authors, readers, reviewers, and editors and maintaing the highest level of research ethics.
Since this area is continuously evolving, INDIRE will continue to monitor developments and will adjust or refine the policy as we adapt with our digital world. Primarily, we will follow best practices established by the world scientific community.
We specify that the policy herein refers to the preparation, submission, and publishing of papers/articles and therefore it is focused on the writing and publishing process. We do not make policy regarding the use of AI tools. In essence, AI tools should not be used for key authoring tasks such as interpretation, scientific production, methodology, pedagogy, extracting insights, drawing scientific conclusions, or providing recommendations. Since AI tools can be misleading, inaccurate, incomplete, or biased, the authors bear the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the content in their papers.
As such, authors are required by INDIRE to disclose in their manuscript/paper the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies and a statement will appear in the published work to maintain transparency and trust between all stakeholders.
Based on the above, INDIRE considers authors as the generators of the article content (hence responsible and accountable to the content: accuracy, integrity, originality, and approval of work) and therefore should not list AI and AI-assisted technologies as an (co-)author, nor cite AI.
INDIRE does not accept figures, images and artwork generated by generative AI and AI-assisted tools.
Any use of generative AI and AI-assisted tools must be described such that they can be reproduced. This should be included in the methods section.
INDIRE reserves the right to request from authors to provide pre-AI-adjusted versions of content for editorial assessment.
INDIRE asks authors who have used AI or AI-assisted tools to insert a statement at the end of their manuscript immediately above the references or bibliography as follows:
The authors acknowledge the use of AI and AI-assited technologies in the writing process of this article. The tools/services used are: [NAME of TOOLs / SERVICEs]. The tools/services were used in the following fashion (details in methodology section): [Explain briefly HOW and the REASONs]. After using these tools/services, the author(s) declare that they reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication.
We understand the commitment to format an article according to the Journal specifications. We value quality and relevance of articles and their content. Therefore, articles for new submission may be written with any formatting style, keeping in mind that consistency and clarity necessary. For example, you may use any reference system and referencing in the body style.
You would need to submit your manuscript as a single Word file to be used in the refereeing process. Your submission in word format allows us to number all lines for ease of referencing during the reviewing process.
Only when your paper is at the revision stage, will you be requested to put your paper in to our 'formatting style' for acceptance (https://www.indire.net/Uploads/TemplateINDIRE.docx) and provide the items required for the publication of your article. We also provide paid services for formatting and editing your article when accepted.
All INDIRE journals and conferences article format follow the American Psychological Association, APA with minor changes, as listed below. Authors are encouraged to download the word documents examples below to explore the formatting and visit the APA style guidelines for more detailed information.
